Our Journey
From a humble beginning in 1996 to 30 glorious years of celebrating childhood — here are the milestones that shaped Tiny Tots School.
Tiny Tots School was established on 8th July 1996 to fulfill the Pre-Primary educational needs of children of APM Terminals, Gujarat Pipavav Port employees. The school opened its doors with a handful of students and a single dedicated teacher.
Within two years of inception, enrollment grew significantly as more families in Pipavav recognised the school's nurturing approach to early education. Additional classrooms and play areas were added to accommodate the growing student body.
A structured Pre-Primary curriculum was formally introduced, incorporating theme-based learning, storytelling, role play, and activity-based methods — blending international best practices with a local cultural context.
The school relocated to its present spacious, lush-green campus. The new premises were equipped with modern teaching-learning materials, an outdoor play zone, a library corner, and dedicated activity rooms.
Recognising that parents are a child's first teachers, Tiny Tots launched its flagship Parenting Sessions programme — covering topics such as Multiple Intelligences, Storytelling, and child development milestones. Over 100 parents participated in the inaugural series.
A dedicated Yoga and Mindfulness programme was integrated into the daily curriculum, nurturing children's concentration, emotional regulation, and physical wellness from an early age.
Mrs. Aikata Mehrotra — an Engineer turned Educator holding a B.E. (Industrial Electronics), B.Ed, and Montessori Teacher Training certification — took charge as Principal, ushering in a new era of innovation, activity-based learning, and community engagement.
Digital media and interactive tools were incorporated into the classroom, enabling teachers to deliver engaging, multi-sensory lessons while keeping traditional play-based learning at the core.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the school swiftly transitioned to online learning, conducting virtual classes, parent workshops, and activity kits delivered to students' homes — ensuring continuity and community support during challenging times.
Tiny Tots School proudly celebrated 25 Glorious Years of nurturing childhood. The Silver Jubilee was marked with a grand cultural programme, alumni reunion, and a special felicitation of long-serving teachers and staff — a testament to the school's enduring legacy.
New extracurricular tracks in performing arts, environmental education, and sports were introduced, giving every child a broader canvas to discover their unique strengths and passions.
As we approach our 30th anniversary, Tiny Tots School remains committed to celebrating every child's uniqueness, deepening parent partnerships, and continuously evolving our learning environment — guided by our founding values of love, respect, and care.
